| | My rosemary plant is thriving, so I was ready to use up another stalk or two. This bread is very similar to the bread you get at Macaroni Grill. It has been years since I have had their bread, but as soon as I took my first bite, it is what instantly came to mind. Miss F was excited to eat the crust, but was most excited about the butter on top of the bread. This bread would also be delicious dipped in olive oil mixed with fresh grated Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes. I made this during the day, so C didn't have to endure the smell of fresh herbs and fresh bread baking. |
Rosemary Bread for the Bread Machine

1 ½ teaspoons white sugar
1 ½ teaspoons salt
¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, minced
pinch of each: basil, oregano and marjoram
2 ½ cups bread flour
1 ½ teaspoons active dry yeast
Place ingredients in the pan of the bread machine in the order recommended by the manufacturer. Select white bread cycle; press start.

Yumm, sounds delicious. Cannot wait to try this as soon as I get back to Canada. I miss my breadmaker!
this looks great! I wonder if hubby would go for it...
Just made your bread because I, too, was overrun with rosemary. I used the rosemary, about a tablespoon of chopped fresh basil, a touch of fresh parsley, and a sprinkle of dried oregano. Used the bread machine on dough setting and then formed into two baguettes. Allowed to rise an hour and then put into 425 degree oven with steam bath for 20 minutes. Perfect! Not too overwhelmingly flavored so makes a good dinner or sandwich bread. Thanks!
I have made this twice in the past week a half. I did it as buns so put the machine on the dough cycle, made into buns, rose for 1 hour, baked at 400 for 15 min and topped w/butter. Great recipe. Thanks!! Glad you love your bread machine as much as I do. Keep them coming!
I just made this bread for a gardening club meeting. We all enjoyed it tremendously! Thank you for sharing...

I rarely leave a comment for anyone, but I have to say this bread is tasty! I baked it last night since I had some fresh rosemary and I will be baking it again! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
Similarly my Rosemary plant was growing out of control, so decided to try this...I made it with my Zojirushi 1lb loaf bread machine and it turned out well! Thank you so much for sharing!
