|Miss F hates potatoes. I cannot comprehend this aversion at all. These potatoes were unique enough for her to actually try them. They make for the perfect side dish potato. They are easy to prepare and totally delicious. The bottom of the potato gets a lovely crunchy layer of parmesan cheese while the top remains light and fluffy, like a good baked potato. Do make sure to cool the potatoes before serving, they are steaming hot out of the oven. |
I may have burned my tongue not being patient. Thanks to Favorite Family Recipes via Pinterest for the recipe.
6 small potatoes, scrubbed and cut in half
¼ cup butter
2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
½ teaspoon garlic powder
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Melt butter and pour into a 9x13 inch pan and spread evenly across the bottom. Generously sprinkle parmesan cheese and garlic powder other seasonings all over the butter. Place potato halves face down on the butter and seasonings. Place in preheated oven and bake for 40 to 45 minutes. Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan. Serve.
